Tony has been involved in the volleyball community for going on eighteen years now. He has served as Club Director for Northwest Juniors VBC for seven years. He stays very busy and active in the volleyball community. In addition to running NW Juniors, he is the Junior Program Director for the Puget Sound Region, USAV (2002 to present) and the head coach at Edmonds Community College. He has also served on the YJOV (Youth and Junior Olympic Volleyball) Competition Commission, Girl's Committee since 2004 -- which oversees competition issues at the National level for USA Volleyball juniors.

He began his coaching career in 1989 for Northwest Juniors. He volunteered at Highline Community College in 1990 and then from 1991-1997 he was the head coach at Foster High School. He was the head coach in 1998 at Holy Names Academy. In all, Tony has coached club for 17 seasons, all ranging from 15's-18's teams and boys. Tony began his collegiate coaching career in 1999, when he was a graduate assistant at Seattle Pacific University. The next year he was the first assistant coach and then served as head coach at Bellevue Community College for the 2001-2004 seasons, where his teams took 5th, 3rd, 5th, and 5th at the NWAACC championships in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 respectively. He finished his career at Bellevue Community College with a four year head coaching record of 39-9 in the North Division (.812) and 124 – 76 overall (.620). He was voted coach of the year in the Northern Division in 2001 & 2002, and in 2002 was voted all-NWAACC coach of the year. He has been with the Edmonds Community College program since 2005.

18 Storm -- Team Code: FJ8NWEST1PS -- Parent Focal: Holly Warren
	Kim Werkau 18 Storm Head Coach e-mail	Kim is Northwest Volleyball's Adult Program Director and Assistant Club Director for Northwest Juniors VBC. She is also the Head Coach at *Bellevue Community College*, where her 2006 team finished 3rd in the northern division of the NWAACC and her 2007 team finished 2nd. Before being hired at Bellevue Community College, Kim was the head coach at Kent-Meridian High School, and assistant coach at Evergreen High School, and volunteer assistant at Sumner High School. She has also worked many different camps and clinics in the Sumner and Bellevue areas. Kim coached the NW Juniors 17 Thunder team in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 she led them to a 4th place finish in the Regional Championships and a great finish at Volleyball Festival. Previous to her Northwest Juniors coaching experience, she coached the Bonney Lake U17 team during the 2004 USA Volleyball season. Kim played high school ball at Sumner High School, where the volleyball team qualified for state for the first time in the school's history (1997) and placed in 6th state the following year. She played club ball at Northwest Juniors during her entire high school career. Kim then played at Central Washington University from 1998-2001 where she was a middle blocker and a team captain in 2000-01. The team finished third in the NCAA in 1999, and second in the GNAC the following two years. Kim has a very impressive playing and coaching resume and has decided to make coaching a primary part of her life. We are pleased to have another NW Juniors alum return to the fold.
	Liv Fode 18 Storm Assistant Coach	Liv comes to Northwest Jrs with great playing and coaching experience. Liv coached several middle school clinics while playing ball at Gig Harbor High School. She also coached a U16 team in Skagit Valley while in college at WWU, where she also played on a men's intramural team. She has also spent a lot of time refereeing/lining high school and college volleyball games. Liv's knowledge of the sport and intense energy will be a great addition to the 18 Storm.
17 Thunder -- Team Code: FJ7NWEST1PS -- Parent Focal: Allison Snedeker
	Kevin Marts 17 Thunder Head Coach e-mail	Kevin has been involved in volleyball as a player (20 years) and coach dating back to before his college days at Washington State University. His coaching resume includes two years as an assistant coach at Washington State University, 2 years at Colfax MS & Colfax HS (2 state championships), 2 years with Palouse Jrs, 1 year with Moscow VBC, and 2 years head coach of the WSU Men's team. He played club ball at WSU and was a 4-year captain of the team and was an all-tournament selection at the NIRSA National Championship Tournament each of those 4 years. He was also a 3-time Pacific Coast Conf MVP, and spent 2 years on the National Select Club team. He will be a great addition to our coaching staff for 2008.
	Julie Hill 17 Thunder Assistant Coach e-mail	This is Julie's first year coaching junior volleyball. Her playing career includes 4 years at Bend High School in Oregon and one year at Mitchell College in Connecticut (as a DS/Libero). She then transferred to Washington State university and played on the Club team for three years. She has stayed active as a player since graduating from WSU in 2005.

	Jason Mills 16 Storm Head Coach e-mail	2008 marks the fifth season for Jason and Northwest Juniors.
	Karly Smaciarz 16 Storm Assistant Coach e-mail	Karly has an abundance of playing experience from junior high to high school. She has played nearly every position and won many awards. Since playing in school, she has been in many women's leagues and intramural teams with the University of Washington. Her coaching experience comes from working cheer/dance clinics to volunteer coaching with many junior high and high schools throughout the area. We are very excited to have Karly helping with our 16 Storm team.
16 Ice (Edmonds) -- Team Code: FJ6NWEST2PS -- Parent Focal: Cindy Kuijper
	Dragan Karadzic 16 Ice Head Coach e-mail	Dragan returns for his fourth season with Northwest Juniors Volleyball club. Previous to his coming to NWJRS, he coached in the Great Lakes Region, where he was extremely active in the Junior Volleyball Community. Dragan was an IMPACT Clinician in the Great Lakes Region along with being a member of the Great Lakes Region Executive Board, Great Lakes Region Girls Junior Coordinator, Great Lakes Region High Performance Camp Co Head Administrator, a USA Volleyball Junior National Referee, USA Volleyball Junior National Staff Member and a IHSA Volleyball Coach at Evanston Township High School and a certified IHSA Volleyball Official. Dragan most recently coached at Cascade High School in Everett. Dragan is IMPACT, ASEP, CAP I Certified and a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Dragan is also the Puget Sound Region's High Performance Program Director as well as Junior Tournament Director. Dragan also serves on the USA Volleyball Junior Girls Competition Commission.
	Silver Keck 16 Ice Assistant Coach e-mail	Silver is a sophomore outside hitter and defensive specialist at Edmonds Community College and 2006 Alumni of South Whidbey High School. She was Dragan's assistant during their successful year with the 15 Ice team. She also played her club volleyball at Northshore Juniors and coached summer camps for NW Juniors and Edmonds CC VB Camps.
15 Thunder -- Team Code: FJ5NWEST1PS -- Parent Focal: Eric & Gretchen Roeder
	Leon Blazer 15 Thunder Head Coach e-mail	Leon moves up from the 14 Storm to the 15 Thunder team, hoping to capitalize on the momentum and improvements the 14 Storm team made in 2007 with the same core. Leon came to us mid-season in 2006 and was assigned as an assistant with the 14 Cyclone team. His previous coaching experience contributed to helping the team grow immensely. He is currently the JV coach at Sammamish High School. He has been involved as a player or coach for several years -- having moved from the Mt. Vernon area. We are excited about Leon's promotion as a National Team Head Coach and look forward to a great season for that team.
	Amanda Crank 15 Thunder Assistant Coach e-mail	Amanda returns to assist Leon for a second year. She is a sophomore at Bellevue Community College and 2006 Alumni of Issaquah High School (3rd place at State 3A in 2005). For the 2007 college season, she was named to the Northern Region second team, and to the Sophomore All-Star team. She has been a part of Northwest Juniors (on a National team) since her days as a 14 Storm Player. She is a DS/Libero at BCC and was honored as a 2006 Honorable Mention as a member of the Seattle Times 3A All-State team. She also coached at NW Juniors volleyball camps the past 2 summers. In 2006 she was the assistant coach for the 14 Storm Team.
14 Storm -- Team Code: F4NWEST1PS -- Parent Focal: Jackie Siochi
	Deana Thompson 14 Storm Head Coach e-mail	Deana is a Senior Defensive Specialist at Northwest University in Kirkland, and coached our 13 Tempest team in 2007. She is originally from Centerville Texas, and she transferred to the Northwest from Southwestern AGU in Texas. Deana coached at Centerville High School in the Houston League and two years for NBC camps (both volleyball and basketball).
	Libby Hellwig 14 Storm Assistant Coach e-mail	Libby is a Sophomore Setter at Northwest University. She is a transfer from Exeter, California and her previous school is the College of the Sequoias, This will be her first season on staff at Northwest Juniors. We are excited to welcome her as the 14 Storm Assistant Coach.

17 Heat (Edmonds) -- Team Code: F7NWEST2PS -- Parent Focal: Lisa Marie Hatch
	Jessica Marsh 17 Heat Head Coach e-mail	Jessica returns for a second season with Northwest Juniors after coaching the 16 Blizzard team to a successful 2007 season. She will coach the #1 U17 team in Edmonds. An Oregon native, Jessica comes to us with a wealth of volleyball knowledge and organizational skill. Jessica played on her high school team, David Douglas HS in Portland, and graduated in 2001. Since then, she competed on her intramural team at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR, where she also earned her bachelors of science degree in speech, communication, humanities, and psychology (graduating cum laude) in 2006. From 2003 – 2006, Jessica was a coach for Cascade Jr’s VBC based in Gresham, OR and focused primarily on the U-14 and U-16 teams. She has since moved to Seattle and is currently pursuing her Masters Degree from Seattle Pacific University in Organizational Development, and will graduate in 2008. We are very happy to welcome Jessica to our family at Northwest Juniors.
	Tessa Eberth 17 Heat Assistant Coach e-mail	Tessa returns as Jessica's assistant coach and is a sophomore setter at Edmonds Community College and 2006 Alumni of Meadowdale High School. She also played her senior year of club volleyball at Northwest Juniors -- for the inaugural season of the 18 Eclipse team and coached summer camps for NW Juniors and Edmonds CC VB Camps.
17 Vortex (Kent) -- Team Code: FJ7NWEST3PS -- Parent Focal: Leslie Bradley
	Raven Northrup 17 Vortex Head Coach e-mail	Raven moved recently to the Seattle area after completing her studies at Arizona State University. Her college playing career includes two seasons as an all-West Division player at Lower Columbia College. She played high school volleyball at Kelso HS and club for Cowlitz VBC. She coached several camps during her high school and college days, and will be a first year NW Juniors VBC coach. We are pleased to have an experienced college & club player directing our Kent U17 team.
	Juleea Perez 17 Vortex Assistant Coach e-mail	Juleea is a freshman setter/RS at Bellevue Community College. Prior to BCC, she played for the 2007 NW Jrs. 18 Strom team. Juleea has a lot of energy and will do great work with the Vortex.
16 Cyclone -- Team Code: FJ6NWEST3PS -- Parent Focal: Shelley Safronek
	Jenna Tomko 16 Cyclone Head Coach e-mail	Jenna is a 2002 Graduate of Bellarmine HS in Tacoma. While in High School she was on varsity three years and played for Puget Sound VBC (5 years) traveling to many National-level tournaments. After high school, she went on to star at Le Moyne College(DII) in Syracuse, NY where she was a starting Middle Blocker. She has coaching experience primarily in camps in High School and College. She is a great addition to the NW Juniors staff.
	Allegra Shank 16 Cyclone Assistant Coach e-mail	Allegra is a 2006 graduate of Redmond High School and played club for WVBA before a shoulder injury ended her competitive playing career.
16 Blizzard (Edmonds) -- Team Code: F6NWEST4PS -- Parent Focal: Liz Kriewald
	Jennifer Collins 16 Blizzard Head Coach e-mail	A native of Ferndale, WA, Jennifer has played volleyball since sixth grade. She has also played a year of community college volleyball at Whatcom CC. Since then, she has played in several adult leagues and tournaments as well as coach softball at her alma mater, Ferndale High School. Jennifer will do a great job coaching the 16 Blizzard
	Nicole Tuson 16 Blizzard Assistant Coach e-mail	Nicole is a freshman Outside Hitter on the Edmonds Community College volleyball team. She played club volleyball for OHANA VBC and Evergreen Jrs in Olympia, and graduated from Black Hills High School. She has coached camps for Edmonds CC and Northwest Juniors -- this is her first year coaching club.
16 Inferno (Kent) -- Team Code: FJ6NWEST5PS -- Parent Focal: Karen Thompson
	April Barreras 16 Inferno Head Coach e- mail	April returns after taking two years completing a dental program in Yakima. 2008 will be April's second stint with NW Juniors. She is another former player for Tony Miranda at Foster High School who returns to coach for Northwest Juniors (joining Angela Burgess and Marla Tappero). April has been active as a player locally and played at Highline Community College for two years after graduating from Foster. We look forward to Aprils contributions this season.
	Cy Klein 16 Inferno Assistant Coach	Cy has played volleyball fro six years. Two of those years were with the University of Idaho Men's Club Program and for the past four years, he has played indoor and outdoor adult leagues and tournaments.

	Kristine Wilen 16 Avalanche Head Coach e-mail	Kristine comes to us from Club Dig It, where she has coached for the last three seasons. She has played one year for Edmonds CC and was a 4-year member of the Cedarcrest High School Volleyball team. She has attended two Gold Medal Squared volleyball clinics, coached several camps for Cedarcrest HS and Edmonds CC and remains active as volleyball player in rec leagues in Kirkland. We are pleased she has joined the NW Juniors staff for the 2008 season.
