IMPORTANT
NOTICE - PLEASE READ The Washington State legislature recently adopted the Zachary Lystedt law to address the management of concussion and head injury in youth sports. The law requires all school districts and youth sports associations – to be in compliance with policies adopted by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. If your child participates in WIAA Sports then you probably have taken the necessary steps to educate yourself about concussions and head injuries through your school's mandatory pre-season meetings. It is our responsibility to make sure all of our members have complied with this new law. Please refer to the resources provided below to educate yourself. The following are several links where you can get check lists and educational materials about concussion and head injury. These range from video education to resource kits for coaches, parents and athletes – that you may use.
