In addition to regular coaching duties, Tony offer his assistance to players in preparing for college and act as a liaison between the players and recruiters as the club's recruiting coordinator.  Tony has extensive college coaching experience, having spent five years at  Edmonds Community College (3 NWAACC Tournament appearances and a 3rd place in 2008); four years at Bellevue College (finished his career there with a record of 39-9 in the North Division and 124 – 76 overall, was voted coach of the year in the Northern Division in 2001 & 2002, and in 2002 was voted all-NWAACC coach of the year); and two years as assistant coach at Seattle Pacific University in 1999 & 2000. Tony has been a part of Northwest Juniors VBC since 1989 and has been the director of the club since 2000.  Over the years, Tony has taken several teams to YJOV National Championship events.  Tony's responsibilities also include coaches education and he is a staff coach in the Edmonds part of the club.

 


 

 

Charlie Andrade

Charlie returns to Northwest Juniors after spending the last three seasons in Phoenix, Arizona where he coached for Arizona Sky VBC and Shadow Mountain HS.  Charlie has extensive experience with Gold Medal Squared systems of play having used them for AZ Sky and NW Juniors the past 9 seasons.  Charlie has coached club and/or High School Volleyball since 1992, and his experience includes time with NW Juniors and Rain City VBC.  Charlie is an IMPACT and CAP 1 certified coach and PAVO certified official.

Nicole Returns to Bellevue after completing her degree in Oregon and working with Olympia VBC post-graduation with a B.S. Degree in Communications Studies, Oregon Institute of Technology; Coaching & VB Experience: 2011 Olympia VBC U12's Head Coach; 2010 Olympia High School Volleyball, C Team Head Coach; Varsity Assistant Head Coach. Oregon Tech Volleyball Team Captain - 2 years. Bellevue Community College Team Captain - 2 years. USAV Club Volleyball - U14, U16, U18, 2001-2005.

Craig has a great background primarily as player.  He has coached with the Boys and Girls programs in Snohomish County for the last several years and is looking to expand and challenge himself as a coach for club volleyball.  He will be working with our younger teams in Edmonds.

2008 & 2009 Graduate Assistant Coach at Edmonds Community College.  Has played beach several years and was an Assistant Coach at Edmonds College during the 2008 & 2009 seasons.  he is currently the C team/Freshman team coach at Everett High School.  He enters his third season with NW Juniors -- "V" was the head coach of a very successful 15 Heat team during the 2009 season, and coached the 17 Elite Black team in 2010.  He is a very popular coach at the Edmonds club and has done a great job in training athletes.  He plays indoor and outdoor volleyball and brings great youth and enthusiasm to the staff.  A patient and knowledgeable coach with a great understanding of the game, V is part of the NW Juniors Elite Staff in Edmonds.

Kim Culliton

Kim is the Assistant Club Director for Northwest Juniors VBC.  She is also the Head Coach at Bellevue College, where her teams placed in the top three of the Northern region of the NWAACC every year she's been at BC (2006-present).  The 2009 BC team finished 5th overall in the NWAACC, and Kim was the recipient of the Northern Region Co-Coach of the Year Award in 2008 and Northern Region Coach of the Year Award 2009 and 2010. 

Before being hired at Bellevue Community College, Kim worked coaching various high school programs.  She was the head coach at Kent-Meridian High School (2005), assistant coach at Evergreen High School (2004), and volunteer assistant at Sumner High School (2003). 

This is Kim's 7th season at Northwest Jrs VBC.  Previous to her Northwest Juniors coaching experience, she coached the Bonney Lake U17 team during the 2003 USA Volleyball season. 

Kim played high school ball at Sumner High School, and played club ball at Northwest Juniors during her entire high school career.  Kim then played at Central Washington University from 1998-2001 where she was a middle blocker and served as team captain during the 2000-01 seasons.

Angela D'Amelio

Angela has been the assistant coach at Bellevue College the last two seasons. Prior to coaching at BC, Angela played 2 years at Edmonds CC as a MB/OH. In her 2009 season, she was the team captain, received Player of the Week honors twice in the season, received second team All-Region and was a member of the Sophomore All-Star team, coached by Culliton.

Prior to playing in college, Angela attended Juanita High School, playing varsity volleyball for three years. She played club volleyball in 2006 & 2007 on Culliton’s club team as an OH/RS.

Angela has been coaching camps since 2008 and she has coached club volleyball in 2009 & 2010. She also volunteers her time with a Seattle Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) team. Angela has a daughter, Mia, who will be one year old on November 30, 2011

Tiva Akau

Tiva is a current DS/L at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, Tiva played at Marysville HS and for club director, Tony Miranda on his NWJRS 18 Elite Black team.  With an impressive start to her 2011 season at BC, Tiva is the recipient of the Northern Region Defensive Player of the Week twice and All NWAACC Region Defensive Player of the Week once. She is also a member of the Bellevue Crossover All Tournament Team.  Tiva is a very driven and talented athlete, and has a lot to offer her team.

 

Jessica Bieshuevel

Jessica (or Biesh as her teammates call her) is a current DS/L at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, Biesh played at Lynden HS.  Biesh coached in 2010 summer camps and is a very driven and talented athlete, and will be a fantastic coach and role model for her team.

Kelli has been a basketball and volleyball coach -- mostly in her home town of Toutle Lake.  She will start her club career on staff for one of our eastside teams.  She played at Toutle Lake HS and for Cowlitz VBC and was also a member of the 2002 Washington All-State team.

Holly joined our staff in 2010 after several successful seasons with LaConner High School and LaConner VBC.  A 2004 graduate of LaConner HS, Holly currently works for Beyond Malibu Young Life in Seattle.  She coached 5 & 6th graders for LaConner VBC in 2010 and was the JV Coach/Varsity assistant at LaConner HS during the 2006-2009 seasons.  She has also attended several PNW All-Sport Clinics and is IMPACT certified.

 

Hannah Fox

Hannah has been coaching camps, club and NW Volleyball's fall league for the past four years.  Before coaching, Hannah played MB for Bellevue College during the 2008-09 season.  Prior to BC, Hannah played at Woodinville High School.  We are very excited to have Hannah Coaching club with us this year.  She is an incredible asset.

 

Adam Frank

Adam is a student at Seattle University and a recent transplant from Santa Barbara.  He has coached indoor and beach volleyball the last 7 years for the City of Ventura. He has also worked with Ventura Volleyball Club as head coach of their 15's team, and last year worked with Santa Barbara Volleyball Club as assistant coach for their 16's team  He joined us the fall of 2011 as a coach for our Jamba Fall league. He played indoor and beach volleyball in high school and in 2009 played collegiately for Santa Barbara City College, where he was a Middle Blocker.

Laura Friar

Laura is a current outside hitter at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, Laura played at Kings HS, where she was voted MVP of the league in 2009.  With an impressive start to her 2011 season at BC, Laura is the recipient of the Northern Region Offensive Player of the Week four times and All NWAACC Region Offensive Player of the Week once. Laura is a member of the Walla Walla Crossover All Tournament Team and is the MVP of the Bellevue Crossover All Tournament.  Laura is a very driven and talented athlete, and has a lot to offer her team.

McKenzie is a current OH/OPP at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, McKenzie played at Ellensburg HS, where she was in the top 10% of her graduating class.  Kenzie is a very athletic and driven athlete who will also be a great role model for her team.

Krista is a current setter at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, Krista played at Lynden HS.  With an impressive start to her 2011 season at BC, Krista is a member Bellevue Crossover All Tournament Team.  Krista is a very driven and talented athlete, and has a lot to offer her team.
 

Chenoa Henry

Chenoa is the younger sister of Tillie Henry.  She is a first-year NW Juniors coach and is a 2010 graduate of Fife High School where she was an All-State playerShe has played over 7 years and played Club for Puget Sound VBC & KJ VBC.  This will be her first year on staff for NW Juniors, though she was a volunteer assistant for the 14 Storm team in 2011.

Kristin is currently the assistant JV Coach at Lindbergh High School where she coaches with other NW Juniors coaches Susan Rogel and Angie Lamb.  Kristin played one season at Bellevue College after a great career at Lindbergh HS and has coached club volleyball since her senior year in High School.  For the 2011 season, she was the co-head coach for our 13 Thunder team and continued coaching throughout the summer with NW Juniors Camps.

Silver is currently the Assistant Varsity coach at Skyline High School in Sammamish.  She is a recent graduate of Washington State University where she played one season with the Cougars.  Previous to that, she played two season at Edmonds Community College, earning NWAACC All-Academic honors both seasons.  While playing at Edmonds, she was an assistant coach for two seasons to Dragan Karadzic for the 15 Ice and 16 Ice teams.  She spent the summer of 2011 on permanent staff with NW Juniors Volleyball Camps and has coached since her high school days at South Whidbey HS.

Emily is currently an assistant coach at Seattle Prep.  She enters her fourth season with NW Juniors VBC.  Previous to Seattle Prep, Emily was the head volleyball coach at Seattle Lutheran HS, where she was part of the program for over 3 years.  She is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University and her volleyball playing experience dates back to her club days where she played 6 seasons with Saddleback Volleyball Club in Southern California.  Emily also operates a flower shop with her parents.

Angie Lamb

Angie is the JV coach at Lindbergh HS and has several years experience coaching with NW Juniors.  She worked with our Kent teams in 2009 (14 Inferno) and 2010 (15 Inferno) and has coached primarily U14's and U15's in her tenure with the club.  Angie played at Foster HS for Tony Miranda, and also played two seasons at Highline CC, then graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in International Business Management and Economics.  She also is something of an entrepreneur, as a consultant for PartyLite

 

Jocelyn Lawrence

Jessica is a recent transplant from Kansas, where she was on staff at Halstead High School and coached for Midwest Attack Volleyball Club.  She immediately was hired on as the assistant coach at Bellevue College under assistant club director Kim Culliton.  She played two seasons of college volleyball in Kansas and participated in club throughout her high school years.  She also coaches several camps for NW Juniors and Bellevue College this summer.

Adam  is an Impact Cap Level 1 certified volleyball coach,  and has a deep background in volleyball as a player and coach.  He has over 10 years of coaching experience at a variety of levels, having coached from 6th grade level through the collegiate level and instructed at camps as well as providing private instruction. In 2006, I was the varsity volleyball coach for Goshen High School, leading the team to a sectional semi-final appearance. From 2006-2008, he coached for Shank You Volleyball Club in Elkhart, Indiana -- his final year he coached the #1 ranked U18's team for the club.  He is a licensed CPR/First Aid instructor and moved to the Seattle area in 2009.

15+ years club coaching experience; coached softball and volleyball (U14-16's mostly) in Sandpoint, Idaho. Moved back to the Northwest in 2009 after being stationed overseas.  Erin coached in 2009 and 2010 for the club and took last season off to heal from shoulder surgery.

 

David Merrill

David recently moved to the area from Colorado where he coached 17's for Premier VBC in Fort Collins.  He also coached at Northridge High School.  He is IMPACT certified and has coached U14's and U17's in his club coaching career.

Samantha Minnig

Sammy is a current opposite hitter at Bellevue College.  Prior to BC, Sammy played at Marysville HS and for club director, Tony Miranda on his NWJRS 18 Elite Black team.  Sammy has coached several volleyball camps in the 2009 and 2010 summer and she has participated in NW Volleyball's Summer Beach Series.  with an abundance of knowledge, Sammy is a very driven and talented athlete, and has a lot to offer her team.

Debbie Miranda

Debbie has been heavily involved in the sport since her daughter Taylor took up the sport as a nine year-old and coached Taylor her U10-U12 seasons.  She has coached a few camps and worked as a tournament director the last few years.  She coached the 12  Eclipse team to a successful top 10 finish in 2010, and a third place finish in the Region in 2011.

Courtney is a first-year NW Juniors coach and comes to us from Pacific Coast Volleyball Academy and Green River CC.  She is from the Kent area and played several years of club and two seasons at Green River. She coached U14's in 2011.

Juleea is a Bellevue College Volleyball Alumni (2009) as well as a NW Jrs. 18 Storm Alumni (2008) both coached by Assistant Director, Kim Culliton. Juleea is a talented and tenacious setter with a vast knowledge of the game. She left BC receiving All League honors, and setter of the month honors. Juleea coached the NW Jrs. U17 team in 2008 and has since coached several camps as well as the NW Volleyball fall league of 2011.

Katie played three seasons with NW Juniors (and Eastlake HS) before playing for the BCC team in 2007.  She is currently the C Team Coach at Eastlake High School.  She head coached for our league program in 2011 and has been on staff for three years.

Amy’s coaching experience primarily comes from her years as a track coach at Cascade High School in Everett.  She has coached league volleyball and basketball teams with the LDS church the past several years dating back to 2002.  This is her first season with NW Juniors.

Kristine Wilen

Kristine is a graduate of Cedarcrest High School who starred on her varsity and went on to play one season at Edmonds CC.  She has been the Head Volleyball Coach at Cle Elum Roslyn High School for the past two seasons and has several years of club coaching experience.  She coached for Northwest Juniors in 2008 and for Club Dig-It from 2004-2007.
