Tournament Win/Loss Record Coaches Notes
NW Juniors President's Day Tournament,  February 16-18, 2008 2nd Place Division 1 Copper

Overall, we got second place in the U14 Division 1 Copper bracket. As a team, we served 89% in and 19% aces. Leading the team was Kelly Percich with 25% aces with 48 attempts, while Cortney Cole led us in kills. We played great defense, and had awesome hustle.

Power League #3, March 2, 2008 6-0

Winning the copper division, we went 6-0, pushing on to the bronze division. With three of the six matches going to three games, we played really well, serving 92 percent in and 26 percent aces. With Jenna and Cortney’s blocks, little got by, but when it did, our defense was amazing! We switched from a 6-2 to a 5-1… Our setter, Jordan Gates did a great job leading the team with awesome sets. Misty has been working hard on her hitting, and it definitely showed through this weekend. Great job to the whole team; they rocked!

PNQ March 21-23, 2008 5-4

The first day, our record was 1 – 2, the second day, 2 – 1, and the third, 2 – 1.

Of the nine matches, we didn’t play up to our potential in two; however, as an overall tournament, the girls played well. Leading us in serve receive was Luisa Chew, passing a 1.9. Also leading us in hitting was Chew, hitting a .360. Jordan Gates serving 20 percent aces, 91 percent in, with 79 attempts, did a great job keeping our opponents out of system. Our defense was amazing; Colleen Pinkleman and Claire Holcombe led us in digs, with Jenna Pang leading out team in blocks. Kellie Hartford also did a great job stepping into an unfamiliar position, and she played extremely hard.

Good Job!

Power League

April 5, 2008

2nd in Bronze

We got 2nd place in the bronze division, sending us to the silver. The team did a great job of putting everything we worked on at practice this week to work. We have a new addition to the team... Halle Erdahl did a great job at jumping in and playing her hardest.

Addie Sandstrom led the team in aces, and never missed a serve. In addition to the this, Alexei Dijulio was extremely aggressive with her hitting.

While we have a lot to work on, 14 Storm did a great job this weekend.
