1/11/11: Facility rules for
Highline Community College, food & drink are allowed in the gym.
Team tables and coolers must be kept outside so please plan
accordingly (tent and tables). There is adequate space in
the parking lot for campers, but they must be located farther
away from the gym.

(capped water bottles are ok). Team tables and coolers

There are limited areas inside the field house where food can be
consumed -- hallways leading to restrooms and other common areas
-- there will be signage.

1/11/11: Playing times are
finalized for each age group and division. There will be
no "Waves" in any division. All U14's will play at
Highline Community College - play will start at 8:30 AM (doors
open at 7:30 AM, coaches meeting at 8:00 AM). All U16's
and U18's will play at Juanita High School -- play will start at
9:00 AM (doors open at 8:00 AM, coaches meeting at 8:30 AM).

1/10/11: COACHES, PLEASE REMEMBER
THE ROSTER DEADLINE IS 1/11/11. If you have not already
done so, please go into the Advanced Event System and perform a
"USAV Data Import" -- this will update all your members and add
their USAV numbers. You can then add whatever players and
coaches are missing from your rosters. For U18 teams,
please remember that the complete roster includes height,
position, and college status.

As of 12/22/10, U16's will play on Saturday &
Sunday at Juanita HS

will be on hand at both locations with event tee sales.
Jamba Juice will be at both locations selling their famous fruit
smoothies.
Tournament Information:
The 2011 Martin Luther King Weekend Tournament is now an
"all-comers" tournament. We have removed the "Invitational"
tag and are now accepting teams first come, first serve. We
hope this will be a great early season test for all teams as well as
a fun multi-day event featuring teams from all over the Northwest.
Every team will have two rounds of pool play, followed by a single
elimination tournament. Teams will play on either
Saturday-Sunday or Sunday-Monday. The U16 & U18 tournament
will be held on the Eastside, with our primary play venue being
Juanita HS (7 courts). The U14 tournament will be held at
Highline College and Kentwood High School.
Team limits and competition days:

received by December 22, 2010
U18's: We will accept up to 32 total teams.
Teams will play Saturday & Sunday. They will play their first
round of pool on Saturday, and will conclude on
Sunday with their second round of pool and their single elimination
playoffs. The primary playing site for U18's will be Juanita High
School. Teams will play one
round of pool play and begin their second round of pool on Saturday,
then conclude play on Sunday.
U16's: We will accept up to 48 total teams.
As of 12/22/10, U16's will play on Saturday &
Sunday at Juanita HS. They will their first round
of pool and at least one match from their second round of pool on
Saturday, and will conclude on Sunday with the rest of their second
round of pool and their single elimination playoffs.
U14's: We will accept up to 32 total teams.
Teams will play Saturday & Sunday. They will play their first
round of pool on Saturday, and will conclude on
Sunday with their second round of pool and their single elimination
playoffs. With a 32 team format, teams will play either AM
wave or PM wave on Saturday at Highline Community College (on 4 courts) and
will conclude play at either Highline Community College or Kentwood High
School on Sunday.

All pool play matches will be
2/3 to 25 points with a 27 point cap. Game 3 is to 15, no cap.

MOST Three team pools will play
guaranteed 3 games to 25

Playoffs will be 2/3 to 25,
Game 3 to 15 -- with no caps in any games.

teams must supply a first
referee, second referee, lines people, and scorekeeper crew

Registration
Information:
Entry Fees will be processed through
Advanced Event Systems
(AES)
where you can pay online (beginning in early October) or send a check to
"Northwest Juniors VBC". We will begin taking registrations starting
October 1, 2010. Entry Deadline is December 22, 2010.
There are no refunds after December 22, 2010.
Entry Fee: $300, after December 22nd - $350

the website that is the choice of the USA JOVC Girls Championships,
many qualifiers and regional tournaments around the nation for
registering teams.
Please Note:
When Registering on AES, make sure to change the location to
Washington in order to easily find our events.

Advanced Event Systems
to
register your team and club.

Click on
Add Club if you are a new user. If you already have a password
and username, skip to step 4. If not, fill out the club info and
hit the submit button.
-
Next,
fill out the Club Director info, creating a username and
password and making sure to keep your username and password in
an accessible spot for future use.

Enter
your username and password and login.
-
If your
are in a Webpoint region (like Puget Sound, Columbia
Empire, & Evergreen) then you can easily import players and
staff by using the USAV Data Import tab on the AES page under
the Club Director Column. You will simply enter your
Webpoint Username and Password to import all active players and
staff in the system.

If you
are not from a Webpoint Region then you will need to manually
enter or import players and staff.

Click on
"Enter Events." Select "Washington". Select "2011 MLK Weekend
Tournament". Select "Register Teams" and follow the registration
instructions.

Because this event is so early, we will not require a roster to
be inputted in order for you to enter teams, however, teams must
meet the roster requirements and deadline in order to
participate in this event. Please note that rosters are
due by January 11, 2011.
